After seeing all of the devastation in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, many people have been looking for a way to help the citizens of Houston. Well, here are some charities and organizations who are active in the Houston area.

Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund: This relief fund was created by Mayor Sylvester Turner and is managed by the Greater Houston Community Foundation. Through the website, https://ghcf.org/hurricane-relief/, you are able to make donations directly.

Houston Food Bank: This well-established charity organization is asking for additional monetary and food donations to help with the aftermath of Harvey.

Houston Humane Society: This organization is work hard to care and provide for pets that have been displaced by the disaster. They are accepting donations.

United Way of Greater Houston: This relief fund aims to provide immediate as well as long term support for those impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Visit their website to donate or text UWFLOOD to 41444.
