We have 259 beautifully appointed guest rooms. While we do not have many suites, we do have deluxe rooms that are more spacious than a standard room. Our two bedded rooms are furnished with two full-sized beds.

The Whitehall by Sotherly is located in downtown Houston, Texas and is not affiliated with The Whitehall Hotel in Chicago, Illinois.
The pool is an outdoor pool. Hours are from 7 am-10 pm daily.
We do not have or provide microwaves, but we do provide refrigerators upon request, subject to availability.
Edgar’s Hermano Restaurant serves Mexi-South cuisine and offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Part & Parcel is our outdoor bar and restaurant serving modern Southern-inspired gastropub fare including small plates, appetizers, and sandwiches. Buffalo Bayou Coffee Shop offers light bites, sandwiches, pastries, salads, and soups in addition to a wide variety of coffee and espresso sourced locally.
In-room Dining is provided through GoTab which has a QR code unique to each guest room. Order directly from our Edgar’s Hermano menu and delivery will be provided by our restaurant staff in convenient to-go containers.
Valet only, no self-parking available. The overnight Parking Rate is $40.00 plus applicable tax for Weekdays and Weekends.
We offer a complimentary shuttle in the immediate Downtown and Midtown area from 7 am-11 pm on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Transportation from the airport can be made by Taxi or Rideshare or arrangements can be made with an airport shuttle company to take you to the hotel.
Our standard cancellation policy is 48 hours in advance, but it can vary depending on the specifics of your reservation. Please check the confirmation email you received upon making your reservation for the cancellation policy that pertains specifically to your stay. Cancellation policies for group guests are outlined in the group contract. Late cancellations, as determined by the standard that pertains specifically to your reservation, will be charged a fee of one night’s room and tax.
A credit card is required to guarantee a reservation. If an Advance Purchase Rate is booked, a full non-refundable deposit is required at time of booking. A different deposit policy will apply during city-wide events.
A credit card is required at check-in for all reservations and a deposit of $50.00 per day will be held to guarantee incidental charges. This is required for all reservations regardless of how they were booked.
The Whitehall Hotel is a non-smoking hotel. Smoking is prohibited anywhere on the hotel property, including but not limited to rooms, balconies, patios, and/or pool deck. Guests caught smoking on hotel property will be charged an additional cleaning fee.
