An oh-so-harmonious blend of Houston’s native Tex-Mex cuisine and Sotherly’s trademark classic Southern fare, Edgar’s Hermano serves up some of Houston’s most inspired and authentic downtown dining. At the helm? Executive Chef Sylvia Couvarrubias, whose menus sparkle with authenticity and homespun style. Savor Texas corn cakes with pork chicharrón and cotija cheese, mac and queso with chipotle grilled Gulf shrimp, and our award-winning Southern fried stuffed chicken with masa grits and candied bacon jam. We’re open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so head on over anytime - you’re in for a treat.

The stylish bar area at Edgar's Hermano features an inventive cocktail menu that puts a Texas twist on everyday standards. Try local favorites like Sotherly’s own Edgar’s Truth bourbon, named in honor of Edgar Sims, founder of the predecessor to Sotherly Hotels and a bourbon fan himself.

Came for breakfast and was blown away by the menu.  I got two entrees because the Pork Belly Benedict and Texas BLT sounded too good to pass up, and I was not disappointed. Great coffee, too!

What a great location. This restaurant is located on the second floor of The Whitehall Hotel in Downtown Houston. The hostess was extremely friendly and took us to our seats immediately. The décor is classy and inviting.

Stopped by for a drink before going out on the town. Tried the spicy cilantro-lime michelada. It was amazing. I would definitely like to come back to try some menu items. The food smelled amazing.
